Just 5 kilometers from Creel is San Ignacio de Arareko, a Tarahumara community that covers an area of 20 thousand hectares of forest. The center of the community is located in the Arareko Valley, where the San Ignacio Mission is located, the meeting place of the local community on Sundays.
In the valley there are peculiar rock formations of natural origin, which multiply on the ground in unique profiles and figures. The visit to the lake is impressive when you float on it with a rowboat, let yourself be carried away by the magical scene.
