A World Heritage city

Casas Grandes en Pueblo Mágico y como Roma, contiene a otra ciudad, Patrimonio de la
Humanidad. Y no es exageración, si nos situamos en los años 600 de nuestra era, ya estaba en
ciernes la construcción de una ciudad, que, a opinión de un conquistador que iba de paso en
1566, “pareciera que había sido trazada por romanos”. Seguramente le sorprendieron sus obras
hidráulicas y la calidad de vida que la ciudad de Paquimé ofreció a sus habitantes.

A little history of Chihuahua

Some of History

The culture of corn and cassava

In the surroundings of Casas Grandes-Paquimé, corn and squash were grown. Yucca is native to desert areas. Rabbit, wild turkey and bison meat was eaten. Currently, beef, pork and turkey are consumed. The desserts are fabulous based on apple and peach.

Heritage cultural

Between 1060 and 1340 Paquimé reached its maximum development. At the Museum of Northern Cultures located in the Paquimé area, you can learn about this culture, its skills and its beliefs. In the Pueblo Mágico there are the San Antonio Mission, the Cathedral and the main square.
